What kind of care is it?

Black Peel is Theraderm's topical program using fermented black vinegar-derived ingredients. The manufacturer describes black acetic acid loosening bonds between dead cells and introduces it for oily, acne-prone skin. Acne type, inflammation and irritation are assessed first to determine suitability.

How fermented black vinegar addresses dead skin

The manufacturer describes natural organic black acetic acid loosening bonds between dead skin cells. We consider product action with inflammation and sensitivity; name alone does not determine intensity or application time.

Distinguishing ingredient information from outcomes

Manufacturer research on black vinegar and niacinamide includes cultured skin-cell data. Ingredient research, actual Black Peel formulation and individual experience are different types of information.

Patents or research do not ensure the same result for everyone. We check the actual product, sensitivity and irritation from recent care to plan.

Assessing sebum, dead skin and inflammation together

Excess sebum and rough texture have different causes. We distinguish comedones, red painful lesions, dermatitis and irritation to determine care. Peeling is not promised to resolve all scars, pigmentation and inflammation.

What we review at your consultation

  • When you want to discuss oiliness, dead skin and rough texture together
  • When you want to understand the roles of skincare and treatment for acne concerns such as comedones
  • When you want a plan considering skin response after recent laser or peels

Please check before proceeding

Checking concerns and inflammation

We distinguish sebum, dead skin, comedones and inflamed lesions, checking irritation, wounds and dermatitis. Other care may need to precede peeling.

Confirming product and intensity

Obtain explanations of the specific product's ingredients, steps and scope. Product-family name alone does not determine concentration or time, and it is not treated as the same intensity as other peels.

Explaining the process and recovery plan

Application and finishing care follow skin response, with guidance on cleansing, moisturizing, sunscreen and intervals from other treatments.

Recovery & Follow-Up

Redness, stinging, tightness, dryness and peeling may occur, varying with skin and application. With worsening irritation, assess current response before further exfoliation.

Monitor how skin reacts rather than the visible amount of peeling. Avoid harsh cleansing and repeated scrubs; worsening discomfort should be checked before further care.

Precautions to review in advance

  • Disclose allergies, previous peel reactions, medications, cosmetics and recent laser or peels.
  • We assess wounds, weeping, severe inflammation or irritation before proceeding.
  • Do not force off peeling skin or rub hard. Follow guidance on moisturizing, sunscreen and resuming active products.
  • If pain, swelling or heat worsens, or blisters or weeping occur, contact the clinic without applying more products.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Black Peel?

Theraderm's professional peel is introduced for oily, acne-prone skin. Actual sebum, dead skin and inflammation determine suitability and scope.

Does Black Peel complete acne treatment?

Acne treatment depends on lesion type, inflammation and skin condition. Peeling does not replace all acne treatment or guarantee prevention of recurrence. We explain its role alongside other necessary treatments.

How does Black Peel differ from LHALA Peel?

Black Peel uses Theraderm's fermented black vinegar-derived ingredients and is introduced for oily, acne-prone skin. LHALA Peel uses H2MEDI's LHA-based products. Ingredients and composition differ; neither is uniformly stronger or better. Selection considers dead skin, sebum, inflammation and sensitivity.

Is Black Peel an injection or laser?

This page describes topical peeling. If extraction or device care is planned separately, obtain explanations of each need and expected skin response.

Can sensitive skin receive it?

First assess why skin is sensitive and its barrier condition. Natural ingredients or a particular brand do not guarantee no irritation. We may postpone peeling and consider other care first.

How much downtime is needed?

Recovery varies with product, intensity and response. Neither peeling amount nor a fixed date alone defines recovery. Discuss important events and other treatments beforehand.
