What is Juvelook?

Juvelook combines biodegradable PDLLA (poly-D,L-lactic acid) with HA. Tissue response to PDLLA induces collagen, making it an option for texture, fine lines and firmness.

We distinguish immediate swelling/temporary changes from later tissue changes. Results vary with product, technique and skin.

Skin and Volume have different goals. Whether texture/fine lines or hollow volume predominates guides product and plan.

How do Skin and Volume differ?

Primary goalsCare for skin condition such as texture and fine linesGradual volume restoration in hollows
Selection criteriaTexture, fine lines, thickness and skin conditionHollow location/extent, needed volume and surrounding contours

Even within the brand, composition and plans differ. We assess the area and goals, then choose technique for actual product properties.

Who may be suitable?

  • When pores look enlarged and texture rough (Skin)
  • When reduced collagen is beginning to affect firmness
  • Rather than immediate volume like filler, Gradual, natural-looking fillingis desired (Volume)
  • When indented acne scars make the surface uneven

What to check before treatment

  • If immediate, prominent volume is the goal: Consider HA filler too.
  • If sagging is the main concern: Consider lifting first.
  • Keloid tendency, uncontrolled autoimmune disease, or acute local inflammation/infection
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding

How does it work?

Interactions between PDLLA and tissue induce collagen production and tissue changes. Texture, wrinkles and firmness change gradually as collagen develops.

Collagen takes time to form, so texture and firmness change gradually. Onset and degree vary.

What changes may I expect?

Goals depend on texture, fine lines, laxity or hollow-volume concerns. Rather than claiming one procedure resolves pores, scars, pigment and sagging together, we prioritize after assessing skin.

The Korean intended use is temporary improvement of adult facial wrinkles. Confirm suitability for your desired area and change during assessment.

How is the treatment performed?

  1. Consultation: Identify whether pores, texture or volume predominates, then select Skin/Volume and scope.
  2. Topical anesthesia: 20–30 minutes.
  3. Injection: Inject in separate layers and amounts by area; use a cannula for broad areas.
  4. Massage · Soothing: Massage if needed for even distribution, followed by soothing.

When do results appear, and how long do they last?

  • Immediately to 1 week: HA-related hydration and slight volume, which are temporary.
  • 4–8 weeks: Actual changes appear as new collagen forms.
  • After repeat sessions: We assess texture, firmness and volume. Duration varies with product, skin and sessions; progress guides further treatment.

Recovery & Precautions

Swelling, bruising, tenderness, lumps, nodules or inflammation may occur. Nodules relate to multiple factors, including depth, amount, preparation, distribution and individual tissue response.

Report firm lumps or persistent/worsening redness, pain or swelling. Obtain assessment and follow instructions rather than applying strong pressure or massage yourself.

  • Swelling lasts about 2–5 days; bruising about 7–14 days. Allow 2 weeks before important events.
  • Avoid saunas, strenuous exercise and alcohol for 48 hours.
  • Follow any prescribed massage instructions. Strong pressure on your own may change distribution.

Contact the clinic if this occurs

  • If firm lumps or nodules are felt
  • Rapidly worsening pain, swelling or redness, regardless of elapsed time
  • Heat in the area or fever

How we proceed at WayB

  • Preparation, distribution, injection depth, amount and individual response guide plans by area.
  • Skin and Volume have different purposes; choose by main concern or separate timing rather than mixing them in one session.
  • We adjust anesthesia time and injection speed under the Comfort Standard.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do Juvelook Skin and Volume differ?

Skin uses finer particles distributed in the dermis for pores, texture and fine lines. Volume is designed for hollow volume and firmness. Layers and goals differ.

How is it different from filler?

Filler immediately fills space; Juvelook changes develop as collagen forms over weeks. If immediate change is the goal, filler is also considered.

How many sessions do I need?

A general reference is 2–3 sessions 4 weeks apart, adjusted for skin and goals.

Can nodules occur?

Rarely, yes. Causes include depth, amount, constitution and response. Nodules or inflammation require assessment. Juvelook is not easily reversed with enzyme like HA filler; hyaluronidase does not break down PDLLA particles.

Can it be combined with Rejuran?

Goals differ, so combinations often occur on separate dates. Product, area and recovery guide suitability, order and intervals.
