What is Radiesse?

Radiesse comprises CaHA (calcium hydroxylapatite) microspheres in carrier gel. It can restore volume, and CaHA interactions with fibroblasts stimulate collagen.

Fibroblasts produce structural components such as collagen. Radiesse may be considered to use their response for firmness and structure.

Dilution and injection vary by skin and goal. We first determine whether volume or firming predominates and treat accordingly.

What are Radiesse's features?

CaHA microspheres and carrier gel

Radiesse disperses CaHA microspheres in gel. Initial post-injection changes and later tissue response guide method.

Collagen stimulation

CaHA stimulates fibroblasts to support collagen production. Degree and onset vary.

Planning by purpose

Even with one product, dilution, amount and sites change goals and progress. We assess hollows, thickness and laxity together.

Is it for volume or skin firmness?

Radiesse can restore volume or be diluted according to skin and purpose. Hollow correction and broad firming use different plans. We first establish goals and explain initial changes and later progress.

Who may be suitable?

  • When you want to address facial hollows and wrinkles together
  • When skin laxity calls for firming care
  • When you want to discuss volume versus firmness needs
  • When considering an ingredient different from HA filler

What to check before treatment

Not used in thin, mobile areas such as lips or under eyes. Disclose local inflammation/infection, autoimmune conditions, keloid history and pregnancy/breastfeeding. HA filler may be considered for immediate, precise shape changes.

How does it differ from other treatments?

How is the treatment performed?

  1. Consultation: Assess hollows, laxity, thickness and history.
  2. Planning · Preparation: Choose dilution and injection plan for volume/firmness goals, then provide appropriate anesthesia.
  3. Injection: Inject across layers and scope suited to product purpose and skin.
  4. Follow-up Guide: Check response and explain suitable recovery and review timing.

How are results and repeat treatments planned?

Initial changes vary with volume versus firmness goals and dilution. We then assess tissue response to CaHA's collagen stimulation.

We reference 1–2 sessions, adjusting for volume/firmness goals, dilution and response. Product guidance and assessment determine necessary sessions and further treatment.

Recovery & Precautions

Radiesse differs from HA and cannot be dissolved in the same way with HA-degrading enzyme. Swelling, bruising, pain and nodules may occur; rare serious intravascular complications are possible. Severe pain, skin-color changes or vision abnormalities require immediate assessment.

Avoid strong pressure or self-directed massage; follow individual care. Report firm lumps, redness, heat or pain.

How we proceed at WayB

  • We distinguish volume from firmness goals before selecting dilution and injection.
  • Because reversal is difficult, we start with a conservative dose and add after assessing response.
  • Not used in areas with higher nodule risk, such as lips or under the eyes.
  • We explain recovery suited to skin and purpose.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which suits me, Sculptra or Radiesse?

They differ in ingredients, initial volume changes and later collagen response. Selection considers the extent of hollowness, skin condition, desired changes and recovery schedule.

Can it be dissolved like filler?

No. It is not HA and is not dissolved by that enzyme, so we start conservatively.

Is it for volume or skin firmness?

Radiesse can restore volume or be diluted according to skin and purpose. Hollow correction and broad firming use different plans. We first establish goals and explain initial changes and later progress.

How many sessions do I need?

We reference 1–2 sessions, adjusting count/interval for goals, dilution and response. Product guidance and assessment determine further care.

What if a nodule develops?

The course of nodules varies by type and timing. Some subside on their own; others need care. Report nodules, redness or pain without waiting so we can assess and respond.
