Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of treatment is XERF?
XERF uses monopolar radiofrequency at 6.78MHz and 2MHz for firmness and facial contours. Energy range and intensity are adjusted for thickness and volume, using variable pulses and cooling.
How do XERF and CoolSoniq differ?
XERF uses radiofrequency; CoolSoniq uses HIFU. Both address firmness and sagging, but energy delivery and plans differ. WayB assesses thickness, facial volume, sagging and fine lines to advise on a suitable method.
How does XERF differ from Thermage FLX?
Both use monopolar RF but differ in delivery, cooling, tips and settings. XERF features 6.78MHz and 2MHz, three Depth settings, Wave Fit variable pulses and ICD cooling. Selection considers skin condition and desired changes.
Is XERF relatively less painful?
XERF's variable pulses and ICD cooling are designed to reduce heat and pain burden. Sensation still varies by area, settings and sensitivity. Tell us about discomfort so we can assess skin response and adjust settings and technique.
Can I receive it with little facial fat or hollow cheeks?
With little facial fat or hollowness, thickness and volume distribution must be assessed first. We distinguish laxity from volume loss to set areas and settings; another treatment may suit your skin better.
How long does XERF take?
Usually about 15–30 minutes, depending on area and shot count. Consultation, preparation and combined treatments are additional; total visit time is explained when booking.
When do results appear, and how often should I receive treatment?
You may feel immediate tightening, with gradual firmness changes over weeks to months. Duration and necessary intervals vary. Skin condition and previous response guide whether and when to repeat treatment.
Can I resume everyday activities immediately?
Daily activities are often possible, but temporary redness, swelling and heat may occur. Adjust cleansing and makeup to recovery, and maintain moisturizing and sunscreen. Contact the clinic for blisters, worsening pain or skin-color changes.
